  • First and foremost it is highly important for us to understand that good friendships are all about respecting each others points of views and opinions. We are all different in our own ways and means and hence it is very important that we learn to respect and understand each other’s perspective to the extent possible.
  • The next important thing is to throw ego out of your window if you are keen on moving from good friendship to relationship. This is not applicable to friends alone but also has great significance when it is a relationship between husband and wife and even between parents and children.
  • Another important point that needs to be considered which could help friendship blossom into relationship is the need to not feel embarrassed or uneasy when sharing intimate and secret things and matters with each other.
  • The next important point that goes a long way in strengthening friendships and relationships is the need to pamper each others ego once in a while. Saying small things like “thank you” “you are the best” and other such words will go a long way in making the other person feel that he or she is important and sought after.
  • Last but not the least is to learn the philosophy of forget and forgive. This is important in any relationship especially between friends. It is quite natural that there are bound to be small fights and tiffs between friends and there should be a mind of give and take in such situations which is important for the relationship to continue and flourish.
